Hi, I´ve been away for much too long and have thought about closing this blog. Since my last entry I have had a baby girl, Sif, very cute by the way, and 2 children seem to take all my energy at the moment. I can see from my site stats that people still visit, so the blog will remain, and maybe I will return when I have time and energy for it. I still make things, currently knitting is my greatest hobby.

I love reading blogs and think it is a great way of sharing and inspiring, and hope to be back here some day :)

I am back after a long break from my blog. The long break was partially caused by the disappearence of  my photos taken during the summer. Some of them were of a visit to The round House which I have called Rainbow House. I luckily found the pictures on a back-up file, so here is The round House:

I have called this blog post Rainbow House  because the house contains all colours and  you easily get disorientated and lost there: Suddenly you find that pink is your favourite wall color and you surrender to the magic of round shapes and bright colours.

“There are no rules in the round house” says the owners and of course my son loves it there. Here the middle child Betty jumps from the round stairs. The round concrete stepping stones have the diameter of each family member´s height from the time the house was refurbished.

The house from 1951 was renovated in 2008 by Kant Architecs. On their website you can see more stylized pictures of the house.

Here lives 2 adults and 3 children (Svend, Betty and Gerda) and this house was made to be lived in.

When the house was refurbished in 2008 many details were added to accentuate the shape of the house such as this round fireplace.

The kitchen is crafted for the house which also has a round built in ceiling lamp.

Yellow tiles and yellow Vola water faucets. This round bathroom is situated on the rooftop terrace.

Even the children have a great sense of style this is from one the girls´rooms.

In the window sills are collections of coloured glass and African figures.

Everything is possible in the round house and I leave the house feeling greatly inspired and with an idea that the ideal home is a round home.

I am having a blog break for a while. I would rather blog well than just blog. I will be back soon and I have some great posts on the “drawing board” already. Thank you for your patience. Best regards.
