Tiny glitter shoe earrings in a shoebox from Harrods

I have a miniature stash of all kinds of tiny treasures the perfect size for jewellery making.

Bottle opener with bow

I have shown these sodapop earrings before, on the left you can get an idea of how small they are. I have given them a lacquer coating.

Playing card earring studs, decoupage and lacquer coated.

Vinyl record earrings. I made the hole by using a heated needle.

Mobile in my son´s room from acryllic squares which I drilled a hole through and hung on the ready made wire-mobile. It spreads the colours round the room when sunlight hits it.

I wanted to show you a DIY idea for your children´s rooms. My son´s room is very small and I wanted to give it personality and atmosphere. I had some leftover black paint, som masking tape, and a black pen. I drew the tree with a pencil and masked the lines with tape, then I painted twice. The branches are made with the masking tape afterwards and also painted twice. The small insects and characters are drawn with a black all-surfaces pen by free hand.

At the tree trunck I drew grass with the pen, it was the most difficult for some reason.

The boy on the swing is Silas -my son- this he loved! He is part of the magic tree and we tell many stories about the characters.

Tiny characters formed themselves on the tree.

Just wanted to show a miniature sodapop earring I made. The hole in the sodacan for the jewellery parts, was made with a needle.

I don´t usually take pictures of my food but this was such a nice snack: Home baked warm bread with cottage cheese, small tomatoes, fresh basil, salt and pepper, yummy!

After many failures I finally learned how to make the origami paper crane and here is the result. I have borrowed books about origami at the library but I still think the best way to learn paperfolding is by video tutorials where you can repeat and watch again. Inspired by blogger Brinja ´s miniature creations and Origami Jewellery I have decided to try to make the cranes in tiny scale for earrings. You can see the result at the end of this post!

I just wanted to show my new jewellery box from NoMess which is perfect for tiny jewellery parts.

The small colored acryllic boxes from NoMess are really cute, and a great idea for a jewellery gift box. And below are some origami lillies I made, click here for instructions.

And this is how the tiny cranes turned out: They will need two varnish glue coatings and they will be ready for earhooks!

And tadaa! Tell me what you think.

I stumbled upon this super cute blog by Brinja in Copenhagen. She is a supercreative  shopowner who, as one of her hobbies, recreates her apartment in miniature scale 1:12. I think this idea is so original and inspiring and puts life and our purchases in perspective. All items in the miniature apartment are almost exact copies of her real home and when she rearranges the furniture or buys new ones, the scale apartment is refurnished as well.

Brinja´s miniature has attracted quite a lot of attention: on the picture above her creation is getting ready for a photo shoot . There is something hypnotic about it and the time and effort it must take to create this little world in such detail.

Even the papers and magazines are carefully scaled. I could just stare at this tiny wonderland all day.

When Brinja and her husband had their daughter they had to make some changes to the apartment and I can´t wait to see tiny toys appear in the corners of the miniature apartment as well. Notice the changing table on the wall above and in the background of the picture of Brinja and her daughter Vilja below!

Brinja has so many how-to tips and generous give-aways like this pin on the picture below -and her blog is in English!
